French restaurant in Aarhus
Petit Prix is a French restaurant in Aarhus where the bistro classics are allowed to be what they are: simple, filling and done properly. We opened in 2025 on Irma Pedersens Gade, and the idea has always been the same – French food you'll want to eat again next week, at a price that makes it possible.
Why choose a French restaurant in Aarhus like Petit Prix?
Because French cooking is made for both everyday meals and celebrations. A steak with pepper sauce and fries, a bowl of soup and a glass of red wine – none of it needs white tablecloths. At our place the tables are close, the conversation flows, and you come for the food and stay for the atmosphere. It's a bistro in the true French sense.
The dishes – French classics at fixed prices
The menu is built the way a French bistro should be: starters at 69 DKK, mains at 99 DKK and desserts at 49 DKK. Among the starters you will find carpaccio with truffle mayo, salmon tartare and beef tartare with capers and cornichons. For a main, boeuf frites with pepper sauce is a safe bet, and in season moules frites is on the menu too. Finish with crème brûlée, chocolate mousse or apple tart with crème fraîche. If you want a few things to share, add fries, haricots verts or truffle rigatoni for 29 DKK, and olives or more bread for 24 DKK.

Informal – with room for everyone
We've deliberately kept our prices down, because a French restaurant shouldn't be something you only visit on special occasions. Come by on a Tuesday after work, bring your colleagues for lunch, or sit down with friends on a Saturday and order three courses and a bottle of wine. The wine list is French and easy to navigate, and we're happy to help you find something that goes with your food.

Lunch and dinner
We open at 11:30, and the kitchen takes orders until 9 pm. The whole menu is served at both lunch and dinner, and at lunch we also have a couple of lighter dishes such as a chicken baguette and quiche Lorraine.
